Convert Your Walk-In Freezer Into A Display Freezer

Walk-in coolers are a great investment for any business that deals with perishable products or foods/drinks that are best served chilled. Now, it could be that you already have a regular walk-in cooler, but you need a walk-in display unit. What would you do in this scenario? Easy. Just contact a reputable walk-in expert to help you with the process.

But before you reach out to the walk-in cooler experts, here are some tips to help you in the process of converting your walk-in cooler into a display unit.

• Get the right glass doors

The walk-in display freezers for sale will have glass doors to let the customers view the products that you are selling. Ideally, a display cooler will go well with around three glass doors. Each door should be 10ft high and 30 inches wide. Also, you should check that the opening is cut right above the door frame. This helps to make the conversion more efficient.

• Consider the shelving

The right shelving dimensions of the display door should be about 27 inches wide, and around 5 feet deep. The deeper the shelving, the more convenient it will be for the customers to access the products.

• There should be enough lighting

The display cooler might not be as elegant as such if the lighting is not plenty enough. That is why you should also consider the lighting of the unit. When choosing lighting for your display unit, you should know that they come either in LED or T8 output Each type of lighting offers an effective and essential light that will not affect the temperature inside the cooler. Alternatively, you can choose doors and shelves that come with built-in lights.

• Heated Glasses

One thing you should know when working with a display cooler is that they come with heated glasses. These glasses are heated to control condensation. It also affects the efficiency of the display cooler. But before you decide to convert your walk-in cooler, a proper audit must be conducted. A simple audit of the cooler lets you understand the available options when you want to convert the walk-in cooler.

If you don’t want to complicate your available walk-in cooler, you can simply choose to purchase a new display cooler. This will give you an easy time, but you should also be ready to spend some more money. For further help on how to go about your next display cooler, visit AWIC’s

Hardly anyone would say “no” to a pizza! We love them all! And even those who live or want to live strictly ketogenic definitely don’t have to do without this culinary delight. There are already many different ways to conjure up a ketogenic pizza. Our favorite pizza is clearly the Keto Pizza Salami with a tuna-cream cheese base. Quick and easy to prepare and really tasty!

For the dough

  • 200 gr. Grainy cream cheese
  • 1 can of tuna (in water)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons of grated Gouda
  • 1 teaspoon of wild herbs
  • 1 teaspoon of oregano
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Pepper to taste

For the sauce

  • 1/2 can of chopped tomatoes
  • 1 large clove of garlic
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 4-5 leaves of fresh basil
  • who wants: also fresh oregano

For covering

  • 3-4 tablespoons of grated gouda
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 small red onion
  • 3 champions
  • 6-7 slices of organic salami

Preheat the oven to 180 ° C

First mix the dough! To do this, put the canned tuna in a sieve and drain and squeeze out the remaining water by hand. Then put the tuna with the cream cheese, Gouda cheese, eggs and spices in a bowl and puree for 2 minutes. If the consistency is a bit too runny, some psyllium husk flour or hemp flour can be added.

Then spread the dough into a round pizza crust shape on a baking sheet lined with baking paper with a spoon or a dough scraper. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes on the middle rack until golden brown. If necessary, turn the dough halfway through. If everything has been done correctly, the pizza base can be easily removed from the baking paper and turned over after 15-20 minutes.

While the pizza base is in the oven, prepare the sauce. Put the chopped tomatoes with the other ingredients in a blender, season with pepper and salt to taste and puree briefly.

After 30 minutes, take the pizza base out of the oven and, if necessary, place it on new baking paper if the existing one should be a little damp. Spread the sauce on the pizza base and sprinkle with about half of the gouda. Then cover with the fresh ingredients. Finally pour the rest of the Gouda cheese over it and, if desired, season with a little salt, pepper, oregano or even rosemary. Bake in the oven for another 10-15 minutes until the cheese has melted and is golden brown.

Serve on a wooden board.

Consumption recommendation: Depending on your preference, the finished pizza can be refined with fresh rocket leaves or basil!

Enjoy it <3

Another keto pizza recipe. This time a little less exotic than the last one where the bottom was cooked with tuna. The Keto Mini Party Pizzas are a bit more classic when it comes to the dough ingredients. 😉

Similar to our latest bread recipe of the Keto walnut bread, the basis of the dough consists of sunflower seed flour. In connection with the other ingredients and the slightly higher dosed amount of yeast, the Keto Mini Pizza Dough results in a perfect pizza base dough if the walking time is adhered to.

150 grams of sunflower seed flour

40 grams of psyllium husk flour

55 grams of sunflower seeds

1 teaspoon bread spice

260 ml of warm water

12 grams of dry yeast

1 pinch of salt

Preheat the oven to 200 ° C

Sauce for the pizza base:

Can be made from tomato paste or self-pureed tomatoes.

Add some salt, pepper, oregano, basil, marjoram, fresh garlic, and onions (to taste) in a container and puree with the tomatoes or tomato paste for 1-2 minutes.

Our 4 pizzas:

Pizza Pollo with fried chicken fillet

Pizza mozzarella with fresh rocket

Pizza Funghi with fresh basil

Pizza Quattro Fromaggi

Mix the sunflower seed flour and psyllium husk flour with the bread spice and a pinch of salt. Stir the dry yeast into the warm water and let stand briefly. Now stir in the water with the dissolved yeast into the flour mixture with a kitchen mixer for 5 minutes. Now add the sunflower seeds. Knead the dough well with your hands in the bowl for a few minutes and crumble into pieces. Cover with a damp tea towel and let rise for 30-40 minutes in a warm place. If you want to spend a little more time and planning, you can prepare the dough the day before and let it rise overnight in a warm place, this makes it even lighter and the yeast develops even better.

Roll out the dough with a rolling pin and if you want, you can cut out round shapes with the edge of a bowl (e.g. a cereal bowl). Of course, the rolled out dough can also be placed whole on a baking sheet with baking paper and then covered.

Spread the sauce over the pizza base and top it as you like!

Consumption recommendation: With the dough, you can also make excellent small pizza rolls (see picture 3). To do this, simply roll out the dough into long strips with a rolling pin and wrap cheese in them. Young Gouda cheese is particularly recommended.

Preparation time:  20 minutes | Walking time:  30-40 minutes or overnight |  Baking time: a total of 25 minutes
